What happens if you stop paying
You should know this before you print anything, so it is here rather than in the terms.
- Your codes keep working normally for 30 days after a subscription ends.
- After that, scanning shows a neutral page saying the code is no longer active. It is not a 404, it is not an advertisement, and it never redirects anywhere you did not choose.
- Your codes, destinations and analytics are retained for 365 days, so resubscribing restores everything exactly as it was.
- Static codes you have downloaded are unaffected by any of this. They contain the destination directly and do not depend on us at all.
Questions
- What do I get for free?
- Unlimited static QR codes, every type, with full customisation, print-resolution downloads, scannability verification and print sizing. No account, no watermark, and no expiry — a static code contains your destination directly and keeps working whether or not we do.
- So what am I paying for?
- Two things static codes cannot do: changing the destination after the code is printed, and knowing how many people scanned it. If neither matters for your code, the free tier is the right answer and we would rather you used it.
- What happens to my codes if I stop paying?
- They keep working for 30 days. After that, scanning shows a neutral page saying the code is no longer active — never a 404, never an advertisement, and never a redirect somewhere you did not choose. Your configuration is kept for a year so resubscribing restores everything.
- Is there a scan limit?
- Each plan includes a monthly scan allowance. Exceeding it pauses analytics recording — it never stops the redirect. A printed code that stopped working because of a quota would be indefensible, so we do not do that.
- Can I cancel easily?
- One click in your account, through Stripe's billing portal. No email, no retention flow, no call. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
